Hi, I’m Sheryl, a nutritional therapist, and I started a program called Rocket Nutrition. There’s a little story behind this name that I would like to share with you.
When I was in second grade, everyone in our math class got to make these incredibly fun paper rockets that the teacher then placed on the wall. At the top of the wall was a paper cut-out of the moon. Every day, the teacher would move the rocket ship of some kid or another a little closer to the moon. Well, obviously I was dying to reach the moon, but for some reason, my rocket never moved! I would stare at my rocket all day, silently begging for it to shoot toward the moon by sheer force of will. But it never budged.
And here’s why: Because I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Nobody had ever explained to me WHY some rockets moved and others didn’t. I didn’t get that there was a connection between successfully completed math assignments and satisfying rocket-mobility. I somehow thought you could only move your rocket by WANTING it to move. So I spent all my time staring at my rocket instead of learning my equations, and I never got anywhere…except to a feeling of frustration and failure.
Listen, folks, obviously this is not a story about Sheryl being bad at math. This is a story about diet and nutrition, and about the trap we have all fallen into at times — of believing that we can change our bodies and our lives just by sheer force of concentrated will. But fiercely focused will is not enough. We also need guidance, information, tools, assistance — and we need somebody to help us finally draw the connection between actions and results
I founded Rocket Nutrition in order to be that person in your life – the one who can teach you at last how to end the frustration, so you can finally get your rocket to the moon. Let’s do it!
“Sheryl Moller did for me — or rather, she did WITH me — what I had always been unable to do for myself, despite years of resolution and yearning and effort: She got me to my place of perfect health. (And frankly, she got me to my place of perfect pants size, as well.) The miracle is that she made this all seem so easy and natural — as it should be, really, but somehow never was for me before. All I can say is that SHERYL GETS IT. She gets your patterns, your cravings, your tired old habits and — with the greatest of ease and an infinitude of patience — she helps you gracefully sidestep and out-dance every single obstacle. In short, this woman is really, really good at her job, and I am infinitely grateful for it.”
